Uk Car Park Management Ltd, Gladstone Solicitors

    Yesterday, 13:39:PM
Hi, thank you in advance if you can advise me on my situation.
    The matter is as follows:

Entering King George Hospital Goodmayes in Nov 2020 a pcn was issued for non payment of parking via ANPR from UK Car Park Management Ltd.
The barriers and ticket machines were not in use and all covered over.
Part of the car park was being used for Covid use, so assumed parking charges were cancelled.
Did not respond to 2 demands through the post as advised from someone as on private land.
Have now just received Letter before Claim from Gladstones solicitors demanding £170.00.
Having used the carpark recently ,everything is still as it was but big signs are now up telling you to use the new machines installed on the side of the entrance. Not sure if the machines were there in Nov 2020 ,if seen would've paid the £2.50 .

Please kindly advise if there is a suitable solution other than having to pay this large expense.
    Kind regards
