Saw that the DVLA clamped a car in our Housing Association Car Park. I note that the car is not taxed. My question is can the DVLA clamp cars on private land? I know it is private land as the Council sent me a letter asking if my car is abandoned as it is in the same car park and hasn't moved in 18 plus months. In the end they stated thar the land is private so they can't take any action and left mr in peace. It is on a SORN at present. No MOT and no insurance. I'm surprised they clamped the other car and didn't clamp mine and was wondering if it is just a matter of time until they clamp it. The other car was not SORN and had not paid their tax. Any advice appreciated. We are a Housing Association tennant and the car park has no signage but used to have some but it has been removed.. I think the DVLA rarely clamp cars unless they are in the right. There are no designated parking spots for anyone nor any permits issued for the car park. It has one road going into it which servea as an entrance an exit. Can the Housing Assocciation invite the DVLA to enforce the law?
