I have had my leased car insured for the past year and was about to claim for some damage that has occurred before I sent it back, however when looking at my policy I noted that I had incorrectly valued the vehicle at the time. This was actually a genuine mistake and I am surprised this wasnt flagged up when I opened the policy.
The car is valued at 3600 instead of 36,000.
The only advice I have gotten so far is either from Reddit or family, which isnt great.
Can I still make a claim? If I do will they cancel my policy? isnt a cancelled policy a huge red flag for getting new insurance?
Is it better I pay for the damage myself and let the policy run out then open a new one with the correct value?
Thank you.
