  • Consent to mortgage form

    Hello,

My landlord lold me that I needed to sign a document, because he wanted to remortgage the house.

A few days later, I received a letter froma solicitor's form, saying "Thank you for returning the consent to mortgage form. Unfortunately, the document was not completed correctly". At the back of the page there were a HAlifax document to sign. I did not sign any document previously.

I called the solicitors firm that sent me de letter, They said that this was a mistake on the cover letter and that I needed to sign the Halifax document showing that I don't have any interest in the house.

After that, I request by email to confirm the information given by phone, but they do not answer my query. and the landlord has given me new bank details to pay the rent.

    Any advice?

    Antonia
