  • Data Protection for Landlord leaseholder, service management company

    Hi,

Ive recently had a letter through from a debt collection agency for some arrears on a property management service.
In it it has been made clear that the service management company has provided details and information regarding the account with a separate third party landlord ground rent onto the agency.
I am not in dispute with the monies owed regarding the property management company and will pay however i am very concerned that they have instigated and passed on my account information with the landlord without my consent. Does anyone know if there is some sort of exemption around property management and my data or if this has been a breach of my data privacy.
