Hi, I'll try to keep this short and to the point. I need some advice if possible.
Moved into a council house 10 years ago.
Recently bought my house ( 7 months ago )
My neighbour errected a fence 3 ish years ago after one I put up rotted.
The fence line is my neighbours responsibility according to the deeds.
I live in a semi detatched house.
At the time of my neighbour putting the fence up I didn't have anything to say as I wasn't a property owner. However I would like to put a taller fence of my own up or a possible conservatory and the fence line is bothering me considerably. ( please see the pictures added ).
I used to get on very well with my neighbour however we have now fallen out sadly so I can't really approach him about it.
As you can see in the picture there is a drain pipe running directly down the middle of the properties. The fence he put up is almost 4 inchs away from the drain pipe on my side leaving me no room to add a second fence if i choose to. I also understand to add a conservatory with out applying for permissiom I have to be a foot away from the fence line.
Can I do anything about that as he is clearly on my land. Semi detached houses on the plans would be split directly down the middle of the properties.
Whats my first move ?
