    Hi

Me and my brother have our names in the title deeds of our parents home, the house is mortgage free and is estimated value of 375k. Me and my brother want to purchase a property of value 475k, as I understand it HMRC will not treat us as first time buyers and we would be liable for the higher SDLT. My question is if we transferred our ownership on our parents home to another family member then would we still be liable for higher SDLT?

    THANKS
    Wasim
