  • 4 year old default

I really don't understand when it comes to getting credit.

I have a default which will be 4 years old this year in June.

I can get a credit card with my bank, but they refuse me a loan?

They can see how well I manage my account, and I'm always paying money in and maintain my account in good order.

    This is Lloyds Bank.

They accept me for a credit card recently giving me a credit limit of £500, yet when enquired about a personal loan they refused.

    I'm confused and frustrated.

The default was not my fault.

The lender was well aware I had lost income due to the DWP, and the matter was going to Tribunal, the lender defaulted me regardless of my circumstances, treating me unfairly.

The FOS sided with the lender, no surprises there, lender issues me with a defaullt.

I'm fuming as I can't get loans, but can get credit card, this is why I'm confused.

    Any advice.
