Hi I'm looking for advice on what to do Next il explain all
In January 2017 I got my wage slip showing attachment of earnings for council tax never got any letters or any notification but because I'd moved I took it I must of been behind so accepted it its about £13 a mth I'm only on 12hours a week.
Today my council 8/11/18 tell me they have never put an attachment on my wage and suggested contact my employer which I did they gave me a reference number and who they pay.well it was another council up north who explained that the person was same last name similar first name but not me they at first apologised and are bacs paying me all monies taken.
They then called me back to explain that it was not their fault they have all the paperwork sent to my employer and it clearly shows the name is wrong the national insurance number is wrong the payroll number is wrong the date of birth is wrong.
Now my question? What do I do next I've been embarrassed about this on my wage slip so never asked sainsburys about it till today but now to know that they are clearly at fault what do I do
Any legal rights please
Thank you for reading
