I need somebody I can speak to any time, by email, phone etc. not by appointment
I need somebody who is totally independent from 'the system'
I need somebody who has legal knowledge and who has also done his/her time in court

To be honest, I've asked a question that was straight forward, in my opinion, to gather who might be there but I haven't really got the answer to the question so the best I can do is suggest the Father For Justice group which has it's own dedicated forum now(which is fairly new) which will most definitely be able to cover point 2.

In terms of speaking to anybody at any time, email phone etc, then even with a McKenzie friend that is unlikely as they may be in court at the point you want to speak to them.

I had another look at the familiy justice board. Just the picture of their building gives me the chills it is like the image I have of The Castle in Kafka's book. Then there are these people involved:

The Chair of the NFJB is Professor June Thoburn. Its membership includes representatives from barristers and solicitors; family mediators; Cafcass, Health practitioners; HM Courts and Tribunal Service, the Legal Aid Agency; Norfolk Children's Social Care and Norfolk Safeguarding Children Board. the Designated Family Judge, a District Judge and a Magistrate are participant observers.

No way would I get involved with them considering the amunt of dodgy people involved wih them.

Notice how they do not have involvement from fathers groups, family groups, human rights organisations, children's rights groups, children charities, McKenzie friends, etc. It is an absolute scandal.

I have had problems of collusion between people like Cafcass officers and judges, now I see this place that brings them together, it really is scary.

In any case I do no think they deal with individuals.

Can you give a bit of background as to why you need a McKenzie friend?(be as general as possible).

Interesting place but do you know if they are independent? as I would not want to deal with a government body (like Cafcass) or even less a body connected with the courts.

Also, I need an advisor on a one to one basis, if they have them. I do not want a faceless organisation.

it seems to be independent (they do a lot of fundraising)

and ... if they can't help, they would be well placed to point you in the direction of someone who could xx

As it is not care proceedings then I would refer back to Kati's link.

Always remember that the welfare of the child is the basis for everything in regards to children specifically.

It is about residence and other things but I need one who knows more than just which parent a child should live with.

I am new here. I need a recommendation for a MacKenzie friend who is knowledgeable of children matters, courts and who is experienced and reliable. I need one that covers Norfolk.

I have already looked at directories, I am looking for a recommendation.
