I don’t know where to start with this one as It’s quite complex. I separated and divorced in 2010 from my first wife after years of an abusive marriage. We have two children, my son who is 23 and my daughter who is 17.
I remarried and unfortunately that didn’t last due to my mental health issues that I acquired in my first marriage. Because of this I’ve changed my name by deed poll three times since my first marriage. My name is still on the mortgage on the house that my first wrist still lives in. Not long after we divorced I was called to the house to sign some papers and her solicitor was present. I have no idea what I’d signed because I was sick with anxiety having to go back there because of what she’d put me through and after signing it I ran out of the house and vomited outside.
A couple of years ago she asked my to sign a fixed rate mortgage renewal. This renewal had my old name on so I explained that I couldn’t sign it legally. She told me to do it anyway but I refused. I now suspect that she had forged my signature to gain this product.
Three weeks ago I also discovered my 17 year old daughter isn’t biologically mine through a DNA test for fragile-x. I’m now awaiting results from my sons test.
When we separated I agreed to her having the house because of the children. Now I discover my daughter isn’t mine and there is a high possibility my son isn’t also. So It turns out that I agreed to give her the house on false pretences. Last week she admitted that she had been seeking so many peoples she lost count and has absolutely no idea who my daughters father is or might be.
What do I do? I have absolutely no idea where I stand legally if anywhere at all, I’ve lost everything because of her and spent a very long time homeless for absolutely nothing. I’m now 50 years old and have a rented studio flat and no money at all.
While we were together she had me abducted and beaten, she was violent and abusive and my life was awful. I have PTSD, Generalised anxiety disorder and emotionally unstable personality disorder as a result of that marriage. Before we met when I was 19 years old I was absolutely fine.
