  • Should I be paying maintenance if Child is with me for the majority?

Our child lives with me and her mother separately, who lives at her mums house and spends 3 to 4 nights a week at mine, plus nearly 3 weeks holidays a year, and the rest at her Nanas house with mum. Child has recently stated that they want my house to be her main house and has agreed with mum (who sometimes agrees - depending on what mood she is in). So, child will be at my house at least 4 nights a week, plus all the holidays.

Looking into this, and I've read some conflicting information, should I really be paying maintenance?

    To add:
Mum is claiming benefits, so therefore I think she has registered as primary carer.
Mum is more often than not away from the home, leaving the Grandparents to care
Mum doesn't contribute towards the bills of the house or cover all of child's needs (including clothes, school equipment and dinner money). She doesn't contribute towards holidays.

Personally, I don't think I should be paying and if anything I should be in a position to receive child maintanince?

    Any insights appreciated.
