6 weeks & still no grievance outcome

I submitted a grievance 7 weeks ago. My meeting was 6 weeks ago. Two weeks after my grievance I found out that the area manager had told staff about the details of my grievance and so I felt i had to resign as everyone was gossiping. I still haven't had the outcome. The grievance procedure says 15 days. I've chased the company numerous times now and they keep saying 'it'll be a few more days'. Where does this leave me? I understand it's better to see out the whole process & appeal before registering with acas but I'm worried about the time restrictions. Will the 3 months run from the day I resigned (13th June) or the day I submitted a grievance (23rd May)?
