  • Bought a car with transmission faults

    Hi all,
I purchased a car from a garage in March at a cost of 2.7K,
i have had loss of transmission problems(automatic) and transmission not changing gears which I informed the garage 4 days after the purchase. The garage told me to take the car to a specialist to diagnose the issue which I did. The specialist sent the report both to me and the seller. Starting from that time the seller decided to cut links with me and not picking up my fones.

I did seek advise from consumer advise and went through the process of writing letters advising the seller that I needed the garage to collect their vehicle and give me a refund etc. All the two letters were ignored. I also made an online money claim and getting judgement by default 35 days ago.

I also applied for execution of judgement and a notice of Warrant issued.

    My question is as follows:

What should I do with the vehicle which is still parked at my house while I wait for the refund. I am struggling to get to and from work as I am a contract worker. Should I take the vehicle for repairs or should I buy another vehicle through finance scheme since I cant afford another vehicle. The job I do involves a lot of travelling and cant wait for the finalisation of the issue without a vehicle.

Please could someone advise me as I urgently need to know the next step,

    TM
