  • Reclaiming old life assurance policies

Over the years I have started various policies which, for one reason or another, went AWOL.

I did try once to see if I could reclaim, but I was told that it was a 'managed' policy, & the funds had been swallowed up by fees.

    So, a couple of questions.*

Was the info correct, or was it the usual BS?

How can I find out about all the policies?

Do I need to get independent financial advice?

One of the biggest probs is that my *ahem* filing system is somewhat lacking in organisation - I know I had the policies, but not necesaarily with who, how much etc.
How can I find this info?
