Hi good evening all,
I wanted to seek advice from you fab lot.
I booked a holiday for July with TUI. Received an email this morning saying flight changed. Rang them and said my daughter has adhd and coming back at 04.45 is not acceptable.
the lady changed me to the morning flight and I said in the call I’d like this doing free of cost and the booking was changed.
checked the online account on TUI site and they had change my balance owed from £0 to £2747.
so I rang them back and spoke with a gent, then same agent who did the booking and then a manager - I stated that charging £2747 is against trading standard rules and as it’s their fault they need to honour the change free of charge. I said they could listen to all calls where I’ve said I’d like it changing free of charge and basically they refused and said pay the difference or go back to late flight.
after paying the balance this week I was left with no choice other than to go back to late flight.
my question to you guys is where do I stand legally with this?
thanks in advance
