  • Faulty Item Collection / Take Time Off Work?

    Hi all!

This is my first post on here so apologies if it's in the wrong section or lacking some essential details.

I purchased a large furniture item from Ebay, took it out the box, examined it and found it was faulty (due to damage) and different from the listing description/images. I've contacted the seller who is happy to arrange a return, but can't confirm when the courier will collect.

I work in London 5 days a week, I'm out of the house by 6am and not back until 7/8pm on the night. I've stated that I need a weekend collection as I'm not willing to take time off work to be in as it's their mistake for sending me damaged goods.

I've gone through the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and it states that the consumer can't be significantly inconvenienced when dealing with repairs/returns of faulty goods. Surely requiring me to take time off work to deal with this would be classed as a significant inconvenience?

Anyone have any idea how I can resolve this without taking time off work and losing money?

    Many thanks!
