Hi.
I have discovered my business rates are callculated totally incorrectly.* They are £15250, so take me over the rate for claiming the grant..* *Not only are parts of the building classified as workshop, when it is warehouse, but the majority of the areas they have classified as offices are warehouse.* Im not sure if warehouse should be internal storage either?* Just changing the offices to the correct classification, would bring the ratable value to below £15000.* *I have also looked at the special category code. I have been put at* 096G.* I am an online retail business.* We dont have the general public visit.* *Also I have looked at other properties in the area, They have the same special category code and the same valuation scheme reference, but all the base rates are different.* Could anyone help me get my heaf around this? Super grateful for any help. I have also seen that the local authority have the discretion to give or with hold grants if they think the ratable value could be wrong.* *I have put in a claim to the VOA, but it states 90 days to a year before a correction could be finalised.* Many thanks
