  • PIP and travel abroad

    Hi all,
I found myself in a situation and need advice as i am panicking.
I claim PIP and notified them when i went on holiday abroad for 5 weeks, when i returned i informed them of my returned date. But i did not receive any PIP payment on the expected date on my return. I called them and the call handler told me that i reported i was going on holiday abroad for 5 weeks so my claim is referred to a case worker. Is been 2 weeks now and i have not heard from them. I am wondering if this is normal?

    Thank you

Hi, PIP continues to be paid for the first 13 weeks of travel abroad even if it is for holiday, but the award letters ask for DWP to be informed if the claimant is intending to be away for more than 4 weeks from U.K. (in the list of changes to be reported).18 Jan 2018
