Hi, Excel Civil Enforcement came to my door this morning. I still have an ongoing complaint with the council (7 years old) and I told the guy my understanding is that they are legally supposed to send a letter confirming a visit and the last one I had was back in February when the enforcement was put on hold. He told me it was taken off hold around 8th April but I heard nothing. He had threatened to return in one hour to tow the car. Is this true? Or will he kust leave the vehicle clamped?
I've called the council and after three calls managed to speak to someone helpful and sympathetic and she is escalating but it's shocking it's reached this point and I am so stressed.
The dispute is over a council tax reduction I was awarded and which was subsequently withdrawn through the malicious actions of a council employee. It's been in dispute ever since.
What else can I do here? I will also be calling Citizens Advice.
Bailiff this AM re; CTAX no advance warning clamped car
