Parents car taken by HCEO without constent. What steps to return vehicle?

It looks to me as if the CCJ has gone to an old address, which is where the NoE will have gone to as well. I would suspect they have visited that address and found you do not live there, then have traced you to where you are now. Regardless they should have issued a new NoE before attending.

You way forward is now twofold. As owner of the car your mum must make the Part 85 Claim. On Monday you must contact the Court to find out what address the Court docs were sent to. The documentation that Sherforce left should at least give the Writ No they are acting on and you may need to contact the Enforcement Section at the High Court to find the original details on it. Let's see if we can formulate a proper plan of action over it tomorrow.

Letter and email off to Bailiff yesterday, have to wait 10 days for reply before we can apply for the Part 85. Received a copy of the Writ from them too via email.

Why do you have to wait 10 days? If you have a copy of the Writ does it have your current address on it or an old one?

That's the time frame they have below. Car cant go anywhere during this period.

The writ is correct and has the correct address.
