  • Hi from Co.Durham .. Quick help regarding a debt from Lowell and the offspring

    HI.
Me and the wife received a letter from Lowell regarding a debt owed by her son from Orange dtd Aug 2015 for £560 ish. He lived with us for a month or so and mustve took out this contract then and used our address.
He know lives somewhere else but we know where but he 'll never pay up. He just flits about. He didnt have authority to use our address. He has never been on the electoral register with us.

We didnt ring them as we basically forgot about it but then Lowell solicitors sent the usual letter (Letter of claim - 30 days to prevent legal action ) about payment plans etc etc.
We arent worried about it but would like your input .

We also cant reclaim any letter from Orange or associated companies asking for payment (weve never changed addresses in last 5 years )

    Thanks for reading

well you do not know where he is ??? okay!

you do not need to res[pond to court papers, = his problem as they will go ahead and issue court papers against him not you.

you could inform Recorded Delivery that he does not live at this address and only stayed couple of weeks and his whereabouts not known, estranged, and any further correspondence will be treated as Harassment against you the parents and will be dealt with in the appropriate manner/channels.

Amethyst will I am sure check above for you and advise if correct action??
