  • CAG has had an almighty 'upgrade'

It aint worked and everywhere you go you are met by an exultation to download their tool bar... oh dearie me...

In fact adverts generally seem to have been given top billing.

Cool, looks like they've upgraded to the next version. MSE and Penalty Charges have it as well I think. We considered it but think we quite like this one at the moment,(and upgrading means we have to spend dayssssssss faffing about with all our non standard designs and stuff - like the piccies in each forum, colours and whatnot) though I do quite fancy the CMS homepage of the new one, when I get around to it will probably do that, make things easier to update than using Dreameweaver.

Have they installed all the social stuff (profile customisation, visitor messaging etc) ?

It's like when you have got used to your local supermarket, then Morrisons comes along, changes everything about so you can't find what you need any more.

So you start using Asda instead. Especially since they started selling Thornton's caramel slices for £1 a packet. Yumm.

Oh, dear. I seem to be off on another tangent. :/

They are still on vBulletin version 3.8.4.

I don't think they will be hurrying to version 4.x.

Re: CAG has had an almighty 'upgrade'

We're on 3.7 lol....was a massive job upgrading to that one - really don't feel inclined to upgrade any further for a while.

MSE changed things not too long ago, that hospital green colour etc, people have gotten used to it and no one died. PC has been on version 4 for a fair while now. I don't get along with their colour scheme, but otherwise it seems ok once you get used to it.

Re some of the comments about how they should be concentrating on other things than changing the forum, its a big forum and they have a dedicated webmaster so it will be entirely seperate from other issues the forums facing.

I had a good dig around vB 4 as we were thinking of moving, but decided against it.
