Advice please, if possible
My Brother & I were contacted by Heir Hunters, 1 year ago.
It was an Intestate case, my late Uncle, whom we did not know, as my parents split up, when we were very small. The Beneficeries are. Myself, My Brother, 2 Step brothers, and another Uncle, also whom we never knew. The estate is now in its final stages, and the paperwork states that the 2 Step brothers, that are known, but untraceable. Are still entitled, to their share, even though, Missing Beneficary Insurance, has been awarded. My understanding of the insurance, is that since they are missing, their share would be divided between known beneficiaries. And the Insurance would pay out their share, if they came forward, after the estate was finalised.
Otherwise, what would be the point of taking out the Insurance ??
Thanks in advance for any advice
