  • Late uncle intestate advice please

    Good Morning Everyone
I was contacted in April, by Blanchards inheritance Heir Hunters. My Uncle on my biological Fathers side, passed away last November. And the only surviving sibling of my uncle, is his brother. The other 3 Brothers are deceased, 1 being my Father. It has fallen on myself, to be the Representative, authorise Probate etc Their are 5 beneficiaries, my surviving Uncle and on my Fathers side, 4 children. So the 4 of us, will receive a share of my Fathers half. Blanchards inheritance have not been able to track down 1 step brother, and have sent paperwork to the other step brother, but no reply. So the only response has been received, from myself and my brother. Obviously, still waiting for their response, will delay Probate etc Does there become a cut off point where the unresponsive beneficiaries, are removed from the process. They did mention that further down the line, Insurance would be needed, but not sure why ? Thanks for any advice much appreciated

They are probably referring to Missing Beneficiary Insurance

Apologies but would you know, if the 4 children are receiving their Fathers half of the inheritance. Will the Heir Hunters deducte 12% from all 4 of us ? They did say that each beneficiary would be charged 12% in Fees. But as its my Fathers share, would it just be 12% ? Thanks ever so much for your kind advice

No idea what they will charge. You will have to ask them.

If I had to guess I'd say they charge 12% of the total value of the estate.
