I bought a used car on finance in October. By December I had a fault on the handbrake and a flat battery. The car went back to the garage for a new battery and I was told that was the reason for the handbrake fault because of the electrics. Hours later the handbrake fault came back on and the garage again looked at it and told me it was just the electrics resetting with the new battery. Weeks later it came back on and the garage then said it was loose wiring and “fixed” it. 4 weeks later and the fault has again came back on and I’m now looking to reject the car. The garage has taken it in for inspection and said there is no fault however another independent garage confirmed the faults to be present. Now I don’t think the garage will reject my car is there anything I can do ?
