  • VT on Tesla with Blackhorse

    Hello guys,

I took a Telsa out on PCP finance at a (then) staff rate through my work of 5.4% and set my mileage to 6,000 a year. I changed jobs not long after and long story short I have 18 months left on a 4 Year PCP and I’ve done 54,000 miles already and therefore up for a massive mileage charge at the end.

My car is worth around £15k at present and my settlement is £30k, ouch. On the off chance I phoned Blackhorse and asked what were my options and they said either sell it or the offered the VT option. Now, the interesting bit is they said to VT tge car I would need to pay £4,300. I then said about my mileage and small dents on the car so what way would that work. Their reply was that ‘at the moment’ we are not charging for excess miles or damage on a PCP. I said, I don’t wanna argue but I want to make sure I’m getting this right and they repeated it.

However, I check their site and it says in T&C’s about mileage charges and damage charges after 30 days. But they confirmed via phone 3 times there wouldn’t be. I asked them to send me the pack. But my question is where do I stand if it’s on their website as one thing but they are telling me on a recorded phone call another.
