  • No help from main dealer

Hi, I have loads of issue with a car i bought 4 months ago. Bought a used 5 year old audi (Non franchised garage) and i found a receipt tucked in the visor that showed the car had been in a collision and that it was repaired at a large well known Audi group.

As I never knew it had previous damage and maybe the garage who sold me the car never knew either, I emailed Audi and they have said they cant give any details on damage or repair costs. What reason would that be? and i honestly would like to know the extent of the damage.

I called the garage who sold me the car and they said it was clear on HPI, which is true as ive got the certificate. I sent a text to the number on the receipt but they havent got back to me after 3 weeks so dont want to pester them.

Any ideas on what i could do to find out? Freedom of information?
    thanks.

How did you pay for the car?

I'm not sure you need to investigate further, if what you seek is a refund.

You have the evidence you need (very fortunate).

Sorry I don't know how you can find out details about the accident.
If you are worried you could take the car to a garage for inspection to find out what if any, bodywork or parts have been repaired or replaced
If the accident was serious and major repairs carried out, you may have ground to reject the car and receive a refund.
