Hi
We had an airbag light on along with other issues. The dealer had it 4 days and returned the vehicle with the light off, he had fixed one of the other issues and left some not repaired, one of which we paid £90 to have fixed.
The airbag light has now come back on so we gave the vehicle to our usual garage who ran diagnostics and found a potentially more serious issue, this relates to the piston cooling jets.
I have written to the dealer invoking my right to reject the vehicle in the first 6 months. He states the airbag work was completed under warranty so he therefore has a right to inspect and repair under the right to reject terms.
I believe giving him a second chance to repair invalidates any future claim to a refund. Does it? Or is it only fair to give him the opportunity to sort the issue?
