  • House Dispute

Morning folks. Please could you give me some advice/direction on the following situation, thank you.

Me and my ex bought a house together. Because I'm self employed and the Bank couldn't put me on the Morgage we decided I would pay my half to her and she'd pay the bank. We were engaged and had a child together. I did various restoration works and paid contractors to help renovate the property.

We separated a year after moving in. Then without my knowledge, She put the house on the market. I submitted bank statements etc to the Land Registry Office and they agreed to put a restriction on the property. I then forwarded all statements etc to her Solicitors.

Although interested at first, they then refused to deal with me.

I'm trying to find an alternative course of action to take other than Court if possible, as she has left me broke and in debt.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi JIMIJAMES

    Welcome to LB

I don't know if you would qualify for the 'Voucher', but Mediation might be a good idea.

If the matter proceeded to Court, then that may help your case as in you've tried everything to resolve the matter.

You may well have to take this to court to protect your equitable interest in this property.

Can you please post the wording of the restriction.
