  • Partner's ex selling house... equity question

    My partner is divorced from her ex husband but they have never fixed a financial agreement. She moved out of the family home 2 years ago. Her ex is now selling the property and she's wondering where the law stands in terms of her gaining equity upon sale. She was paying towards the mortgage for 12 years but everything is in his name.

        She really needs to consult a solicitor to see whether she is deemed to have a beneficial (as opposed to legal) interest in the property.
        A single fixed fee (or free if lucky) short consultation should give her the options she has
