  • court order not adhered to by father

there has been a court order in place for.my daughter with regards to contact.* it has been 2 Years now. He has never had 2 Weeks in the summer where he was supposed to have year 1.2 separate weeks and year 2, 2 Weeks together. Yet this year is expecting to take her abroad. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this as he continually breaks the order.*

Sorry to hear about this and I hope the following advice will be helpful to your case.

Assuming the father has been granted a child arrangement order (contact order) and does not have any reasonable reason/excuse of the cancellation, you can*ask the family court to enforce the order.* You can apply either for a community-based order which requires the father to carry out unpaid work or;*to award financial compensation from the father to you.
