  • Falsely being accused of theft in the work place

Can anyone offer any advice please?

My manager has been suspended on the suspicion of theft. Its all rubbish and there is no proof, as it never happened! She is being set up. She has been told that they are making an investigation into it, and that tomorrow they will need to interview her.
She has been instructed not to disclose any information to any staff as to what is going on .... me being one of them.
However, I believe she is allowed to ask a colleague to attend the meeting with her, but how would that work if in fact she is not 'allowed' to tell any staff members about what was going on?

    Any advice welcome

If your manager has been suspended pending an investigation and she has been asked to attend a meeting as part of that process then at this stage there is no statutory right for her to be accompanied, except if the provision to be accompanied at investigatory meetings whilst on suspension is written into the company's policy.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.
