    Apprenticeship dismissed

    Hi sorry for long post but need some advice and direction. My daughter started a year long apprenticeship last June (she was 18 at the time). On the 23rd of November she was called into the managers office where there was the manager, someone from HR and her tutor present, they explained some things they wanted her to improve on and that was about it. Nothing was mentioned afterwards going forward. On 19th of December she was called again into the managers office where her manager and someone from HR was and was told she was been let go as they had not seen any improvement in her performance and attitude.
    Never in any of them two meetings was anything written down or followed up and they never asked if my daughter wanted anyone in with her. On the 20th I phoned her manager as could not get hold of HR (xmas period) and requested a copy of their disciplinary procedure and confirmation of her termination. 2nd January I spoke to HR who said they were sending the letter but had to get confirmation off director about the disciplinary document. 7th January we requested them again and they came out today. Within the disciplinary procedure it states that the company can terminate without following procedure due to the short nature of employment? Also any appeals must be done within 2 working days of the letter??
    My concern is that the company have not followed procedure and just kicked my daughter out the door so to speak and is a bit mind boggled. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I presume that your daughter has a contract if so was it an Apprentice Agreement or a Contract of Apprenticeship likely to be for a fixed term lasting the duration of the apprenticeship?
