  • Letter of Claim Recieved, help please!

Hi, I hope someone can be of assistance,

I received a Letter of Claim along with a Reply Form in the post on 10/04/2019 from 'Lowell Solicitors'. I am unsure as to the certainty of the balance as the 'agreement' was entered 15/04/15, during that time I lost my job and fell on hard times, (any accounts of any kind held at the time would have been frozen), having £0 income and 0 benefits (due to no entitlement), up until 08/18 when employed until 12/18 again, leaving me in the same situation as before.
Looking at Creditscore shows, Lowell closed the account on 15/07/18, but when checking Noddle today, it shows the account reopened by Lowell on 06/04/2019.

    Received a claim? Yes/No: No - (Letter of Claim - 30 Days)
    Issue Date: Letter dated 04/04/2019
Have you Acknowledged the Claim?: No
    Total Amount Claimed : £390
    Claimant’s Name: Lowell Portfolio LTD
    Solicitors Firm: Lowell Solicitors
    Original Creditor: Vanquis
    Original Debt: Credit card
    Particulars of Claim:

"On 15/04/2015 you entered into an agreement for a Vanquis Account. You failed to make payment in accordance with the terms of the 'agreement' and it was later terminated and was subsequently assigned to our Client by Vanquis Bank on 08/12/2017 and notice has been previously given to you, and you may request a copy of the agreement on the enclosed reply form.
Our Client previously contacted you to agree an affordable payment plan and you failed to set up or maintain payments as required."

The said Cureent Balance sum of £390~
Threatened with County Court Claim if not paid within 30 days, increasing sum to £500~

Is the debt Statute Barred (have you had any contact with the creditor or claimant over the last 6 years?):Unsure, but the account was closed 15/07/18.
List any letters you have sent (eg: CCA/ CPR ):None yet.
Any Other Information or Background Details: See top.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm not completely sure how to go about this matter.

    Regards
