  • Lowell : Account closed no further action.....four weeks later go after same debt?

Hi really need help here, I had an account with lowell, no payments were ever paid on the debts due to them asking for medical info (due to my mental health) and Expeniture forms and permission to keep records of myself in their data base, I'd had a bit of a breakdown and they said they would give me time to find the information needed thirty days to which I thanked them. Then a few weeks later I received a letter which stated no further action would be taken and that the account was now closed and if they had defaulted my credit they would remove it in six weeks. I was absoluted elated I wept as ive been worrying so much about the debt being on esa i was struggling to manage week by week. Here's the worrying part four weeks past and i recieved another letter with expenditure forms with a request for medical info and a request for permission to save my data also saying i was to be given 24 days to find the information? What do I do? Im seriously panicking here. Thank you in advance.

Hi Alley - Sorry your post has been missed, I would give Lowell a call to be honest if you are able, might clear it up quicker so you know what the situation is rather than worrying yourself silly waiting for them to come back to you .... but if not then write a reply to the letter telling them you thought this was already dealt with, and if you kept a copy of the 'account closed' letter from 4 weeks ago send them a copy of that.

And don't panic - it will just be an Admin cock up and they really don't understand how much things like this affect people ! - they are getting better... slowly.
