Hi all,
I'm brand new to posting here but I have been following the advice from previous posts regarding a letter before action (it was actually titled letter before claim, which I understand is the same thing?) that I received on 15/05/2024 from PRA. I sent a reply form back to PRA on 11/06/2024. I completed only section 4, box i. I sent it recorded delivery and kept the proof of postage, they received it on 12/06/2024.
The reason for my post is that today 30/07/2024 I have received a letter from PRA dated 26/07/2024 which contains the information that I requested from them. The letter is titled "RE - Request for Information Section 77-79 Consumer Credit Act 1974". The letter states that the account is enforceable and litigation will continue, but the last part puzzled me. It reads, "Please contact us within the next 14 days if you have any questions about your account to discuss your available options".
I'm hoping someone can help, I'm unsure what this means, do I now have 30 days before they will begin court proceedings? I am only communicating with them via post, I have not yet acknowledged that I owe the debt. If I understand correctly, the last payment was made on 18/09/2018, which at the time of posting puts me 50 days away from the debt being statute barred. Can anyone advise on my next steps?
Thanks in advance.
