Any advice would be greatly appreciated, i took out a loan with likely loans in 2014 for 2000, i didnt make a single payment back as i had a bit of a breakdown etc, a few months ago i was contacted by cabot saying that they have brought the debt which i have ignored, today their solicitor sent me a letter saying they are going to take me to court to obtain a ccj, will they do this? what options do i have? i cannot afford to pay the full amount back, i do not want to risk having a ccj.
    regards

It is very usual for the debt to be sold on by an original creditor. You can ask Cabot for copies of the original agreement and deed of assignment etc to check enforceability, but a 2014 account is likely to be ok.
Is your health recovered now? Cabot won't expect you to pay the whole amount in one go, once you've established that everything is in order, you could agree to set up a repayment plan. If you continue to ignore the letters, they will probably escalate to a court claim.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
