Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if you could help.
I need to make a claim against a builder that has ripped me off. Basically he has invoiced me for items he never ordered although I have paid him for them.
My issue is that he claims to be the director of the company as per the contract details, but when I checked the company name on companies house, it doesn't exist (subtle name differences) and the registered company name on the bottom of his contract paper is for a completely different company that has been dissolved.
My point here is that given he is therefore claiming to be the director of a non-existent company and or a company now dissolved, can he still hide behind his directorship status, or given he has signed this contract, is he now personally liable?
Thank you
