  • Urgent advice if anyone can help

We have lodged 4 separate claims against two defendants - one has applied for an order to put them all in one fast track case.

The other defendant has not replied to three claims and the time to do so has expired no acknowledgment of service no defence - on one claim they sent in a incoherent unsigned, incomplete defence (Didnt send the even numbered sheets to the court) with no statement of truth. N224 submitted with application to strike out defence

So I now have one default judgment against them and two more being processed.

The general form of judgment says they have seven days (run out tomorrow) to request set aside or stay.

How will this work out in court - I dont want them to be separate cases now ... as the defendant will have to at least ask the court for a set aside hearing ....

The 2nd defendant has written to me .. but not sent a copy of their direction s questionnaire.....

I dont see how these people get away with all of this ... dont send in defences or anything and just ask to be heard again.

Can anyone hazard a guess how this will pan out .. I checked with the court today and as there are 2 defendants a District Judge has to examine the default judgment requests ... and award damages as we could not value the claim. We asked the court to do it ....

    Thank you ...
