Yes you need to get a defence in, could you ask your son to give the court a call and check the status on the case at the moment. I think we have missed the defence date so just check default judgment hasn't been entered and then we need to get the defence in.

Have you not heard anything back (other than returning your cheque) from the Claimants ?

We haven't heard back from anyone..
I even wrote to Santander to ask them to confirm that the investigation into the fraud had be closed but ive not heard from them either ...i submitted the defence yesterday ..not sure if it was late or not ...i lost my login for the moneyclaim website so just had to email the defence. My son is away on a course this week ..do you think the court will speak to me?

Probably not, if you have submitted the defence then if judgment has already been entered ( and you were only JUST late) you should be okay. Although your son should have signed it. The court should come back to you if there's any problem.

Hi there, got a letter from the court today acknowledging the Defence so all seems to be ok. The letter stated that the claimants now have 28 days to contact the court if they wish to proceed so I guess it's just a waiting game now. Still haven't received anything from Arrow or Drysdens.

Yes it's a case of waiting 28 days ( plus postage and bit of leaway so I'd give it six weeks really) see if they reply to the court, if they do you'll get a directions questionnaire to transfer to your local court where they can set a hearing or issue directions. If they don't then the case will go stayed ( on hold) and you could ask the court to consider striking the claim out.

Hi there, just wanted to pop by and let you know that I got a letter from both Drysdens and Arrow today saying that they will not be perusing the court claim ....Yeyyyy ....A big thanks for all your help and advice on here ..I didn't know where to start and you've all been a great help.

Make sure you send a copy of that letter to the court asap.....just in case Drydens et-al forget :tinysmile_twink_t2:
