  • County court claim advice

    Hello

im new to this forum so apologies if i have posted in the wrong area. I received a county court claim in April from a company re outstanding money owed that i have been disputed with them. I replied to the claim through money claim within the set time frame and i have not received anything further. Im unsure what to do? Do i chase it? Wait? What does this mean? Do you get so long to respond until its closed? Im on edge not knowing what to expect next

    thanks

    Hi BELLABOO25

    Welcome to LB

I would ring the Court for an update.

You lodged your Defence via MCOL, you would have received an online acknowledgement.

You should receive a Directions Questionnaire from the Court.

(The Claimant will send you a copy of their DQ).

Courts has backlogs, but April is way too long.

Thanks for the reply! I will call them Monday and see what the next step is. With not having a response yet i wondered if the company had decided to not escalate it further
