Ok so I requested everything from the solicitor etc as normal and I got a letter back by return saying that they will speak to their client.
Nothing turned up at all so I put my defence in last friday saying that they haven't supplied anything like I have done before with other claims etc.

Now today I have a Notice of Proposed Allocation to the small claims track form turn up in the post.
Ive never had one of these before with other claims ive had.

What does this mean and how should I proceed... Thanks
All cases are sent a Directions Questionnaire.

It means that a local County Court will deal with the case, but they want to know a few things before they pass the case on. You need to fill it in, you need to state that you want Mediation providing the Claimant provides all the requested documents. A copy of the Directions Questionnaire is sent to the Court and a copy is sent to the Claimants solicitors.

    Thanks for the update
The allocation is only proposed at present
Did you receive a Directions Questionnaire (form N180) or is there an instruction on the notice that you should file N180 with info where it can be downloaded?

Strange I couldn't find that address in the US, just 16 McLeland Rd MN

Could be the solicitor has got it wrong

JC I A has purchased the debt.
Make sure you serve court documents on the solicitor

I have had a google and not sure what to make of it. Another law firm comes up at same address also.
First line in post 9, you don't have to go 'chasing' them. If you want to send JC International Acquisitions LLC anything, just send it to their solicitors, I'm sure they can 'pass it on' to their clients.

Try googling the claimant's name and address to see if the company pops up

You will be dealing with the claimant's solicitor, Moriarty Law, who are based in London

JC International is a London based property company. Where are you getting their address in the USA from?

Just an update, It seems I maybe abit wrong about the age and its literally 5 years,11 months since contact/last payment was made to them. Its probably why they are trying it on now. Im going to try and find the actual date but I dont know if it will make much difference.
Do the things stated in posts 3, 4 and summed up in post 5.

Your Defence won't state 'statute barred', but the documents requested should still be 'compliant'.
