Ok. Did St Helens confirm that they'd received to notice of change of solicitor / judgment holder and what they'd done with it at all ?

Think we reply saying They need to provide evidence of the CCJ obtained in 2006. Otherwise you stick to saying that this is statute barred and don't expect to hear anything further unless the provide evidence.

Okay if nothing doing something like....

            Dear MC,

            Your ref: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your further letter, however we do appear to be going round in circles somewhat. I would be grateful therefore if you can provide evidence of the county court judgment allegedly obtained by 'DLC' in 2006 and full details of any enforcement action taken. I have enquired with St Helens court and they have no record of any such judgment. Of course in absence of evidence of any judgment it remains my contention that this debt is firmly statute barred pursuant to section 5 of the Limitation Act 1980 and therefore do not intend to discuss the matter further without any evidence to the contrary.

            Kind regards

            Red Scouser.

Hi, sent a letter as advised

Thank you for your further letter, however we do appear to be going round in circles somewhat. I have again spoken
with St Helens Court only to be told again that xxxxxxxx
is a non existent claim number, I would be grateful
therefore if you can provide evidence of the county court judgment allegedly obtained by 'DLC' in 2006 and full
details of any enforcement action taken. Of course in absence of evidence of any judgment it remains my
contention that this debt is firmly statute barred pursuant to section 5 of the Limitation Act 1980 and therefore do
not intend to discuss the matter further without any evidence to the contrary.

Received a response today that Mortimer Clarke are closing the account, not sure if it appear again in the future but for now all is good.

Many thanks for all your help and advice.
