He delayed and found lots of excuses not returning my deposit and deducted. Hearing going to held next week. He suddenly returned part of the deposit to me. Is it appropriate? Moreover, should I prepare N260? I don’t have any representatives. Thank you.

I would say, on the face of the very limited information you have given, that the partial return of the deposit a week before the trial to do with the deposit refund, may give grounds for a submission that the landlord has behaved unreasonably and that you should request a costs order against him. -
