  • Charge on Property

We have just been informed that there has been a Property charge levied against our home, we had no idea that this had been in force, it was only when our Daughter was checking records that this came to light, I understood that for this action to take place it would have to be granted by a County Court, or a Lawler ?.

Hillesden, I believe, is now part of Cabot.

So any CCJ it was based on would have fallen off of the register ( and credit files) in 2015/2016. The judgment debt will still exist though.

Next step is to contact Hillesden to try and find out what it is, how much it was for, and how best to get the charge removed.

If it's not urgent to get rid of the charge and you want to try find out without instigating any action you could send a Subject Access Request to Hillesden ( First Floor Plaza One, Ironmasters Way, Telford, England, TF3 4NT
) -> Subject Access Request Letter
