Im seeking advice about my summons to appear in a civil case, appeals court in Italy.

The short story surrounds a relative who sued another relative over a deceased 's will. The plaintiff won the case but the defendant has appealed. This case has been ongoing for over 10 Years. I and numerous other relatives have been named as a necessary co party/ respondent in the appeals hearing later this Year.

Ive never taken a position to claim, accept or refuse the deceased inheritance, because ive never wanted to be implicated or opt in to any distribution of the estate. Ive had no dealings with this case and I did not attend the original tribunal 6 Years ago, despite receiving a summons then.

The deceased died 13 Years ago and im kind of angry that ive been identified by a relative as a potential coheir.

I was wonder if a solicitor in England could help me, though the litigation case is in Italy?.

Im concerned of the consequences of not appearing at the appeal and of any financial liability / legal costs I might incur, despite the fact that ive played no part.

Any feedback would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you.
