In order to import the PDF file into Open Office, you will first need to install Open Office 3.0 or later. To download Open Office, visit download: OpenOffice.org Downloads
Next, in order to edit a PDF with Open Office, you will need to install the Open Office PDF Import Extension. Sun PDF Import Extension [Beta] | OpenOffice.org repository for Extensions.
Download the extension. Open your Open Office Draw program. Go to the Tools menu and then select "Extension Manager". Click on the "Add" button and then navigate to the folder where the pdf import extension is.
Now, all you need to do is use the File ---> Open menu in Open Office Draw. Navigate to the PDF file that you want to edit, and open it.
If, for some reason, you don't want to use Open Office Draw, you can always open the PDF file, select all, and then copy and paste the text into a Open Office Writer document. However, you will lose formatting and will have to copy over images individually.
