  • Statutory Declaration Hearing? Advice please?.........

About a month ago, I had my insurance policy cancelled - after discovering a 'motoring offence' against me, which had resulted in 6 points and a £600 fine, being made against me!
I had only become aware of this, after doing a Driving License verification check/ process, as requested by my Insurers Validation Dept - the offence is categorised as 'failing to disclose driver details' - it is dated February 2016?

I immediately attended my local Mag Court and requested to file a 'Statutory Declaration - out of time' so as to inform the Court that I had no knowledge of this offence against me and have never received any information in relation to this over the last year etc.

However, it was not possible to have a hearing immediately, they run an appointment system. An appointment/hearing was booked for today at 3pm.

I suddenly feel a bit 'LOST' as to the actual process and whether or not there is anything I need to do prior to attending the Court / submitting any documentation for their consideration?

Any advice, tips and any other support would be really appreciated - getting a bit anxious now and not too sure of actual process and my duty to provide any evidence / as required?

Many thanks, hope somebody can offer some help /advice

    Many thanks
    Nadia
