  • Help! Asset Collection and Investigation Limited took me to court again

    Hi
ive been reading all the post here and I'm wondering if there's anyone who can enlighten me with my current dilemma, I tried going to CAB if they can assist me but failed due to difficulty taking a time off at work.
I was taken to County Court by Asset Collection in April 25 this year and they did not attend the hearing, I attended and the case was dismissed by the Judge. Fast forward just three weeks ago they applied again via Money Online for the same issue but the debt has increased now by £300. Are they legally allowed to re apply, I have acknowledge the claim as I'm afraid that they will get a default judgement.
I'm really struggling how I would defend this claim, can anyone help

If its the same P.O.Cs then I would imagine that it would fall under Res Judicata, That which has been adjudged .Did they send a letter to the court asking for it to be heard in their absence
